BAGUNA PDIP Jakarta Membangun Dapur Umum di Lokasi Kebakaran Kemayoran

Badan Penanggulangan Bencana (BAGUNA) PDI Perjuangan Jakarta, under the leadership of Hardiyanto Kenneth, established a public kitchen and aid post in the fire-affected area of Kemayoran Gempol, Kebon Kosong RW 05, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. This initiative aims to support the basic needs of the fire victims, responders, and volunteers.

Aid Efforts

• Location: Kemayoran Gempol, Kebon Kosong RW 05, Kemayoran, Jakarta Pusat.

• Activities: Setting up a public kitchen and aid post for a 7-day emergency response period.

• Beneficiaries: Approximately 600 households and 1,800 individuals who lost their homes in the fire.

• Support: In collaboration with the incoming Governor and Vice Governor of Jakarta, Mas Pramono Anung and Bang Rano Karno, as well as guided by the Chairman of PDI Perjuangan, Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Message of Sympathy

Hardiyanto Kenneth expressed deep sympathy for the 200 households in Kemayoran affected by the fire. The entire team is dedicated to serving the victims and following the directive of Megawati Soekarnoputri to stand together with the people in times of both laughter and tears.

Long-term Concerns

Apart from immediate assistance, Kenneth urged the authorities to address the recurring issue of electrical fires caused by short circuits. He emphasized the need for regular inspections, prevention of electrical overloading, and collaborations to educate residents on fire prevention measures, especially in densely populated areas.

Mitigating Future Risks

• Collaboration: Calling for coordinated efforts between the Jakarta administration, PLN (State Electricity Company), and other stakeholders to conduct widespread awareness campaigns.

• Preventive Education: Emphasizing the importance of educating residents on safe electrical practices to minimize fire hazards and reduce the budgetary strain on disaster relief efforts.

• Use of Soakage Wells: Proposing the use of soakage wells in densely populated areas as emergency water sources to aid in firefighting and lessen the impact of fires in areas distant from rivers or canals.

By implementing these strategies, including preventive measures, community education, and innovative firefighting solutions, Baguna PDI Perjuangan Jakarta aims to not only provide immediate relief to fire victims but also to create a safer environment and reduce the likelihood of similar incidents in the future.
